You know what's fabulous on Valentines Day? Getting a large arrangement of flowers delivered to your office with a sweet card promising a romantic dinner that night and a massage the next weekend at Tall Grass!
Of course, that didn't happen to me and I sort of had a hunch that it wouldn't so I was my own valentine this year. And I am a great valentine! I took myself to Cherry Creek for a little retail therapy. I figured I deserved a little something since the original intent of my trip was to buy *gasp* wedding presents for the 5 couples getting married in the next few months. As I was headed to Crate & Barrel, I was distracted by a purse store. I walked in and came upon the cutest Coach purse ever. I wandered around a bit but it was useless to resist and the next thing I knew, my credit card was on the counter. With new purse in tow, I headed to C&B where I found fun presents for the betrothed. I also found some fun things for my own kitchen including mini cake tins and a cake decorating kit with fun frosting bags and tips with which I will create precious mini cakes.
I'll tell you what, I'm the best valentine I've ever had. Bouquets of flowers from gentleman suitors will come and go, but a Coach purse is forver.

Amen, sister! It's a rule that you have to spend the money you would have spent on a bf on yourself on V-day. Same goes for Christmas. :)
Last V-day, I was in a bar and noticed a group of women exchanging V-day presents they had bought for themselves and it was fabulous. They bought themselves the shoes they always wanted, new CDs, and various other fun gifts. One had even given herself a card that read: "To My One True Love on Valentines Day." She did a dramatic reading of how much she loved herself. It was really fun to watch.
Mmmmm...Coach purse. Your s/o has EXCELLENT taste.
