Tequila Sunrise

Things for which I'm too damn old:
1. A night of margaritas at the Rio
2. Not eating dinner prior to a night of margaritas at the Rio
3. Drunk dialing friends after a night of margaritas at the Rio
4. Drunk dialing family after a night of margaritas at the Rio
5. Drunk dialing coworkers after a night of marga...oh hell, you get it
6. Passing out on the bathroom floor of a friends house
7. Throwing up while friend tries to hold my hair back with a myriad of hair accessories
8. Paying the cab driver with dollars and quarters and dime and nickels because the rest of my money was at the Rio
9. Waking up with a screaming headache, gamey breath, a sore liver and the sick realization that I had many "I'm so sorry I drunk dialed you last night" phone calls to make this morning.
10. The insatiable junk food craving coupled with the realization that my car was still downtown.
11. Going to pick up my car and finding not one but two, $55.00 parking tickets.
12. The gastrointestinal issues that have plagued me all the live long day

After I got bent over by the parking garage and it's stupid parking tickets, I went home and curled up in the basement to watch movies, drink Nalgene bottles full of water and pray for the black cloud of death to take me as I promised never to drink again...at least not on an empty stomach. I self-medicated with copious amounts of Advil and Tums in between naps. By 6pm, I started to feel more like a human and less like hammered shit.

I managed to start a load of laundry and water the flowers so I feel the whole day wasn't a total loss. But seriously, when did the recovery time for a night on the town become so long?

When you hit the wrong side of 25. THAT'S when recovery time got to be so long. Did you learn NOTHING from the reunion debacle of '04 and/or Karen's wedding? Nothing? Though I must say, no matter if I drink 1 or 3 margs at the Rio, I always throw up. So I blame the margaritas. Hope you feel better!

Here, here to hitting the WRONG side of 25! I couldn't agree more! Funny you had a day like that yesterday, because I did too. I went out on Saturday night, and my 'wrong side of 25 self' hasn't stayed out that late sinceI was on the RIGHT side of 25! And let's just say, I payed dearly for it yesterday...in fact, I still feel off. Not good!
