The Light at the End of the Tunnel...

...is evidently, the train coming straight toward me.

This day has been nuts and it's barely lunchtime. I'm firmly convinced that the vast majority of people (minus the loyal readers of this blog) are morons. And crybabies. And selfish. And arrogant. And irritating.

But I'll stop being Negative Nancy for a moment to say that I am so thrilled to report that I'm headed to my family's cabin tomorrow. My aunt and uncle just bought a log cabin within a mile of the cabin that my Grandpa built over 40 years ago. So this weekend, my dad, my sisters, my grandparents, my aunt, uncle and cousins are all headed to Westcliffe, CO for some Father's Day fun. I will be taking lots of pictures to post on here because any description I could give would not do it justice. So excited!

In other news, Wednesday was Barley's 3rd birthday. I made him a hamburger (don't tell Dr. Karen as I doubt she'd approve) and we went for a long walk. When we got home, he humped his bed for a minute and then fell asleep. Pretty much the ideal birthday for any male - dog or human. I didn't take any pics because I'm not a good parent like Becki is to Pointy. And there was no meat-cake because again, I'm not the pet parent that B is to Pointy. Barley, however, does get to romp around the meadow at the cabin and play in the creek andI'm certain sisters will be slipping him scraps of the super-yummy steaks we will be having tomorrow night.

I think you're right about a majority of people...

Have fun at the cabin!

Ah yes, Barley should come visit his Aunt Becki to get a PROPER birthday celebration. :)
