Questions From My Favorite Blogger on the Other Side of the Pond

1. If money was no object and you were able to decorate and furnish your new office to your personal preference how would it look?
It could be because I just finished watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, but I think I’d bring Ty Pennington in to do my office. All I’d ask is that it be more ‘home office’ and less ‘corporate nightmare’. I’d want it light and open. And I want to have a highback, plush, chocolate brown leather chair. And if I didn’t like it when he was done, I could always start over again…because money was no object. But at least I’d get to watch him work for a few days.

2. What kind of food would best describe you?
Probably Mexican – a little firey, pretty fun, goes well with margaritas and has been known to cause heartburn.

3. In your opinion what is behind Area 51?
Probably something that I would be happy to have the government hide from me. I’m not much into UFO’s and aliens.

4. If you could rewrite the ending to any film which one would you choose and how would it end?
Old Yeller…it would end ANY OTHER WAY than the dog getting killed.

5. What is your anthem?
Oh, this is hard because I love so many songs. I’m a bit of a music junky. But I would have to say Tom Petty’s America Girl. If I were a smarter blogger, I would know how to post a link to this song right about here.

But since I’m not that bright, I give you the lyrics….because I can Google my ass off and it’s quite easy to find lyrics these days.

Well she was an American girl

Raised on promises
She couldn't help thinkin that there
Was a little more to life
Somewhere else

After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
Yeah, and if she had to die
Tryin' she had one little promise
She was gonna keep

Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl

It was kind of cold that night
She stood alone on her balcony
She could the cars roll by
Out on 441
Like waves crashin' on the beach

And for one desperate moment there
He crept back in her memory
God it's so painful
Something that's so close
And still so far out of reach

Oh yeah, all right
Take it easy baby
Make it last all night
She was an American girl

I love the Mexican food answer, too. I think that describes me, also (surprise, surprise). And I LOVE, love, love American Girl!

The dog gets killed?! WHAT?! Next thing you're going to tell me that Charlotte dies in Charlotte's Web!

Great answers. Can I come watch Ty redo your office?

I absolutely love Mexican food, and I'm sitting here eating it even now---take out from a place called "Mi Casita". Yum!

If you're going to have Ty, at least make him leave his bullhorn in the truck!
