A Few Will Be Happy I Didn't Use Names

There was one who surprised me with a picnic in the mountains.
There was one who sent flowers on a regular basis.
There was one who said “I love you” on our third date.
There was one who loved single-malt scotch.
There was one who took me sledding in a blizzard.
There was one who was afraid of spiders.
There was one who made me waffles with strawberries and powdered sugar.
There was one who took me skinny dipping.
There was one who hated vodka.
There was one who had ridiculously long eyelashes.
There was one who loved having his back scratched.
There was one who had the six-pack of an Abercrombie & Fitch model.
There was one who talked in his sleep.
There was one who insisted I keep my hair long.
There was one who lied straight to my face.
There was one who looked in the mirror too much.
There was one who wouldn’t let me run away.
There was one who had the most gorgeous, strong hands.
There was one who rocked my world.
There was one who I had to fake it with.
There was one who made me think about life in a new way.
There was one who called in the middle of the night to apologize.
There was one who I was so awful to, I’m still ashamed.
There was one who could dance really, really well.
There was one who kissed my collarbone while I wore a strapless dress.
There was one who was on the pages of a magazine.
There was one who threw up on my shoes.
There was one who couldn’t drive a stick shift.
There was one who was totally irresponsible with money but liked to tell me how to spend mine.
There was one who gave me a box of bendy straws because he knew I loved them.
There was one who told me my eyes lit up an entire room.
There was one who went running in the mornings with me…even though he wasn’t a morning person and didn’t enjoy running.
There was one who kissed me better than anyone, ever.
There was one who threw pebbles at my window until I woke up.
There was one who wasn’t afraid to call me on my shit.
There was one who loved the sound of my laugh.
There was one who blamed his present on his past.
There was one who was a total slob.
There was one who looked hot in his baseball uniform.
There was one who said something vicious about a good friend and I stopped returning his calls.
There was one who made me laugh until my sides hurt.
There was one who walked with a swagger.
There was one who let me give him a facial.
There was one who hated scary movies.
There was one who always opened the car door for me.
There was one who had his mother pick out my birthday present.
There was one who just didn’t know when to leave well enough alone.
There was one who I’ll never miss.
There was one who I’ll always miss just a little bit.

I absolutely LOVE this post. And you know what's cool? How much we learn from all those "The Ones". Here's to learning, loving and living! xo

I don't think any of these apply to me. Aren't I special?
