We Were On A Break

Hi there.

Remember me? It's been a while, I know. I have no good excuse and won't try to come up with any bad ones. I just had a two week stretch where there was lots going on and though there was plenty to write about, I just couldn't get around to writing. But there are a few things to share with you guys because I know you have all been losing sleep wondering, "What in the world is Kendra up to?" Well you know how I feel about sleep and I just can't have anyone losing any of it so to put your mind at ease - and quite possibly put you right to sleep - I give you the update:

Who I've been passing the time with...
My mom was in town for two weeks and we had the best time. We did some cooking, some shopping and in general, had a really nice visit.

What I'm reading...
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. Was a recommedation from a friend and so far, I really like it.

Playing on the iPod...
"Catch the Wind" - Donovan
"Angry Anymore" - Ani Difranco
"Long-Legged Guitar Pickin' Man" - Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash
"Northern Sky" - Nick Drake
"Little Dudes" - Pee Shy
"The Fear You Won't Fall" - Joshua Radin
"Suddenly I See" - KT Tunstall

Watching a whole lot of...
Planet Earth (duh)
Entourage (On Demand)
American Idol (Never watched the show before this season and am now addicted. Am quite smitten with Chris Richardson but am unsure if my love is purely for his musical attributes.)

What I'm drinking...
Two mojitos...and subsequently falling dead asleep on a couch. At 9pm. On a Saturday night. I'm totally out of control, I know. Somebody call Betty Ford.

Planning...
A trip out of town. Getting stir crazy and need to travel soon. Ideas anyone?
Ways to make the trainer at the gym fall wild-eyed in love with me. *sigh*
On buying a new car soon. Will so miss not having a car payment but my little baby is quickly becoming hoopty-rific.

Loving...
The arrival of baseball season. Opening day was great fun and am looking forward to many more games this year.
My new Blackberry.
The daffodils and tulips outside of my office.

Hating...
The Anna Nicole story that will not go away.
My spring allergies.
The stupid workout my Sporty Spice cousin had me doing Saturday morning and the leg pain that still lingers THREE DAYS LATER.

So that's the latest and greatest with me. Can you believe you waited two weeks for that post?

Yeah, me neither.

Ok, so I promise a rather entertaining post this week that includes bbq tongs, peanut butter and me in both rubber boots and tears. How's that for a tease?

Is that title meant to be yelled a la Ross from Friends?

Um, hello! You know where to take a trip to so don't even ask...CHICAGO.

I watched the entire first half of the third season of Entourage On Demand last week. Now I have to go back and watch seasons 1 and 2.

Hellohaha - Haven't been to Atlanta in two years but it is a fun town.

Anon - Haven't been to Houston in about two years either...maybe a trip in the fall. The humidity there in the summer is too much for this CO girl.

Cheryl - good news...will be in Chicago in August. I'll call you soon with the details!

Maris - I do enjoy the Blackberry -got it for work and it's great fun. I give it two thumbs up!
