P to the O to the O to the R

People, you know what should be illegal? Sephora.com It's a bad, bad site. I actually hemmorage money whenever I visit that site. I tried removing it from my favorites on my internet but that didn't work. I tried not having my credit card close by when I would "screen shop" (that's what I call window shopping on the internet) but those bastards keep my credit card number on file for my convenience. So tonight, after a long, stressful week at work I jumped online to check my email I saw an ad for Sephora. I'm like a damn junkie. My eye darted away from the ad because I knew it would mean bad things. I'm also aware that it's January 27th and I only get paid on the 1st of the month which means these last few days are REAL tight on the money front. But I kept seeing the ad so I thought, Hey, I know I'm broke. I'll just take a quick glance. That's about as rational as the crack addict wanting just a small hit. So out I ventured into the retail danger zone. My first find: lip gloss in the most fantastic shade. Somehow, my finger slipped onto the "Put in Shopping Cart" icon. A few more items also jumped into that effing cart. Next thing I knew, the last few dollars I had to survive from now until February 1st just evaporated. Gone. Done. Finis. B-R-O-K-E. I have an emergency fund into which I can dip but I ask you - Does lip gloss qualify as an emergency?

Shoes also count as an "emergency," btw. Now that I have a paycheck, I have found a whole new world of shopping through the magic of buying shoes. (insert tune to Aladdin's "A Whole New World")
