I Feel Like I'm Forgetting Something

So I was headed to the airport today for my trip to Cincinnati. I, of course, was on my phone while driving to the airport and was beaming with pride that I was not running late at all. In fact, I was running early so as I pulled into the parking lot, I was a happy girl. As luck would have it, I found a great parking spot in the garage and headed inside. My luck continued as I walked up to the self serve ticketing at the Delta counter to find no line. I continued on to the security line which has a reputation at DIA for being looooooooooooong only to find that there was no line at all. In all my travels, I've never gotten through security so quickly. Go me! As I got on the train to head to my gate, I heard a cell phone ring which reminded me that I needed to return a call from work before I got on my flight. I started fishing for the phone in my purse and didn't find it. Then I checked my laptop bag - not there either. I figured it would be better to check when I get off the train so when I got to my gate I dug around some more. The phone was gone. A flash of panic came over me because I no longer know any phone numbers by heart, except 911 which I was ready to call upon my discovery of being phoneless. I looked at my watch and realized that my plane was going to board in 40 minutes. After talking it over with the airline rep, we decide I may be able to haul ass back to the parking lot and try to make it back. Unfortunately, due to FAA regulations, they can't keep my already screened luggage so I must take it on my ass-hauling journey. So off I went, running and huffing and lugging and puffing and cursing and regretting my decision to wear my super-cute brown boots. And when I got to my car, there was my phone just where I'd left it. I took off on a dead sprint...ok, so as much of a dead sprint as could be expected of a girl in cute brown boots who was traveling with a large carry-on and a laptop bag. And roughly 16 minutes later, my phone and I boarded the flight. If only I'd remembered to pack the charger. *sigh*
