O My...

And to think, I wasn't even going to go out last night...

Are you KC?

Um, yes.

You probably don’t remember me but…

Wait a minute – I know you!

…yeah, we met about 2 years ago.

Please don’t think I’m an ass but I can’t remember your name and I won’t do a convincing job of lying at this point so…

That’s ok, it’s been a while. I’m O.

Oh my God, I absolutely remember! Has it really been two years?

Yep. It’s great to see you again. You look fantastic.

FANTASTIC.

Thanks! So do you. You look…um…older. I hope that doesn’t sounds insulting.

Older, huh?

Well, not older like you should be headed to IHOP for the early-bird dinner but just…

…more mature?

Yes! Thanks for saving my ass on that one.

No problem. It’s really great to see you…you look fantastic.

THERE’S THAT WORD AGAIN – FANTASTIC…

You too. What are you doing in Denver?

I live here now…moved out last summer.

That’s great – how do you like it?

I love it here. You’re a native right?

Yep, grew up here in Denver.

Yeah, I remember that about you. You’re a true Colorado girl. I remember you saying how much you loved it here.

Yeah, I think I’m a “lifer”.

I can see that about you. Actually, after being here for almost a year, I think I am too.

So, any big plans for Memorial Day weekend?

Not really. I have a few bar-b-ques and my college roommate is coming to town for the weekend so we’ll probably go out downtown. What about you?

I’ve got some friends coming to town tomorrow so I’ll be with them most of the weekend.

Maybe we’ll run into eachother…if not, maybe we could grab a beer sometime. Or lunch?

Sounds great.

Let me give you a business card. And I’ll get your number.

Ok. ***exchanging of digits happens at this point. I nearly have a heart attack as he writes his cell number on his business card and I notice he’s left-handed. I don’t know what it is but I love left-handed men. Particularly, LHM who are devastatingly handsome, charming and getting my number.***

It was so great to see you. I’ll give you a call soon and maybe I’ll see you this weekend.

It was good to see you too. If we don’t run into each other, have fun this weekend.

You too. ***insert hug from aforementioned handsome LHM here***

Sometimes a sign doesn’t have to smack you upside the head. It just walks up, grabs your arm and smiles.

Coincidence that his name is "O," as in "Big O?" I think not. Heh.

So awesome! See, this Memorial Weekend wasn't nearly as bad as either of us thought it'd be!
