Soup's On

Tonight was the 2nd Annual Super Soup Supper. The point of the supper is for everyone to bring a different soup to share with everyone else. We had six soups this year and that was more than enough. It was a perfect day for the party because once again, it's snowing here in Denver *gasp*.
We ate while watching the Pats vs. Colts game and argued the merits of each team. It was amusing to be hanging out with the girls in my cooking club with all of us screaming at the television set like a bunch of guys. While we were pretty evenly split on which team we were rooting for we ALL agreed that Tom Brady is magically delicious.
Our dear Molly has a birthday next week and had mentioned that she didn't want to do anything this year. Because I absolutely refuse to let a birthday pass without some fanfare, I made a cupcake cake to help her celebrate. I saw Martha make one of these bad boys one time and it turned out so cute. Mine was less cute but it was damn tasty. In fact, I'm having another one as I type this.
So after all the soup, wine and cupcakes, I am warm and cozy and sleepy so it's off to bed with me. But maybe after one more cupcake...
