My Kind of Town

Five days in Chicago included: Shedd Aquarium; architecture boat tour; Navy Pier; watching my cousin survive a pigeon attack; 5th row, center seats at The Color Purple; breakfast at Sam's; lots of shopping on Michigan Ave; heavenly beds at the Westin; four hour dinner with Cheryl; top of the Sears tower; dinner at The Chop House; huge crush on every waiter at Keefer's; sweating like it was my job while walking along Lake Shore Drive; 10pm dinner at The Palm with awesome carrot cake for birthday dessert; vodka tonics every single night; manis and pedis on a whim; buying lots of Calvin Klein at Macy's; duking it out with the receptionist when she tried to charge me $10 for a Reese's peanut butter cup and Propel water from the mini bar that I did not consume; hours wandering around the Art Institute of Chicago; getting up at 6:30am to workout and then walking roughly 15 miles later that day while sightseeing; lunch at Harry Caray's; 187 photographs on my new camera and finally - one gigantic blister from my new Michael Kors peep-toes that left such a huge piece of flesh hanging off of my heel that I named myself "Mudflap".

I just love to see the photos of my adopted city. And the four hour dinner just flew by. We need more of those, no? It was awesome to see you!
